Mighty Mohave Monthly - May 2025

Mohave families,

It's hard to believe this school year is almost complete! Last month, we had a successful dine-out at Texas Roadhouse, where we raised $190; secured generous donations from families and local businesses for Teacher Appreciation Week; and finalized details for the eighth grade dance. We can't wait to show our gratitude for our hard-working Mohave staff, as well as send our eighth graders off in style!

Our last PTO meeting was on April 21, and if you weren’t able to join us, you can review the meeting minutes here. We elected board members for the 25-26 school year:

Our next meeting will be Monday, May 12, at 6 p.m. at the Glaser home. We'll be wrapping up this school year's business and previewing initiatives for the 25-26 school year.

Fentanyl Awareness Event, May 6, 5-6 p.m.

Mohave is hosting a drug information night with prevention specialist, Stephanie Siete, exclusively for Mohave families and incoming 6th grade families. This presentation helps educate families on recent trends, providing actionable strategies and real-life personal stories. Support Mohave Classrooms, Stock the Essentials!

Help us stock our middle school classrooms by purchasing a supplemental grade-level supply kit for the 2025–26 school year. These kits provide shared supplies that go directly to teaching teams, not individual students. Items include classroom essentials like tissues, pencils, etc. so students don’t need to bring bulk supplies.

These are not personal student supplies like binders, pens, etc.
These are shared amongst the entire grade and benefit all students.
Individual supply lists will be provided at Wildcat Walkabout and Curriculum Night.

2nd Annual Wildcat Classic Golf Tournament - Sept. 20, 2025

The Wildcat Classic Golf Tournament is coming up on Saturday, Sept. 20, at Talking Stick Golf Club!

We already have great prizes, like generous gift cards to The Vig and private golf lessons - and we can always use more, so let us know if you have a connection that could contribute.

April Highlights

We had a fun April! Many families enjoyed dinner at Texas Roadhouse, raising $190 for Mohave, and the music program had a great time in California at the Forum Music Festival, earning Gold rankings (top 10 percent in the country) with orchestra and Silver rankings (top 20 percent in the country) with concert choir, advanced choir and band!
